ORMA EDUCATIONAL AND CHARITABLE TRUST is a registered Public welfare Charitable NGO working together with trustees, Local communities and certain organizations to improve the well-being of people with Dementia and related memory disorders.
We believe that the senior members of our society, remain active and involved in their community to the best of their ability and be surrounded by friends. With this in mind, we provide consistent observation and assistance to them, right from their daily activities to recovering certain physical and cognitive functions.We provide personal care and therapeutic approach to the people with dementia to stimulate their memory and slow-down their journey to next stages.

Loved ones resorting to keep the person with dementia at home has nothing to do except keeping them at home watching TV which will increase social isolation and loneliness.
About 47.5 million people are living with dementia worldwide and this number is expected to triple by 2050. The most common form of dementia is Alzheimer’s disease, and while there is no cure for dementia, Creative approaches can help to manage symptoms and slow progression of the disease.Since people who have dementia lose their memories , they often become fearful as they have no idea where they are , what’s happening around them and why. In the state of uncertainty their behaviors become challenging or they will withdraw from their environment.
Here comes ORMA D’care with creative therapy by making their daily routine fun. This creative treatment may take significant amount of time and attention in short term , but over time the results are magnificent. The therapy includes, dancing, painting, building puzzles, improve theatre, humor therapy, music, art, story telling, enhancing hobbies etc.
Activities:
Daily activities that enhance physical, cognitive, spiri-tual, emotional, social, and sensory group activities and games, exercises, gardening, cooking, music, art, recreation, discus-sion..
Counseling:
We provide required support services, advice, and guidance for people living with dementia and their families.
Health services:
We provides medical services like insulin shots, blood pressure checks, physical, dental, foot, eye, ear examinations and giving tablets on-time for their other medical conditions.
Personal care:
We provide help with hairstyling, toileting, eat-ing, showering and other personal care tasks.
Therapy:
We have an on-site facility for physical, occupational and speech therapy, if required.
Special needs:
We are ready to accommodate special needs like physically challenged persons.
Presently, an estimated 3.7 million Indian people aged over the age of 60 have dementia (2.1 million women and 1.5 million men). The prevalence of dementia increases steadily with age and higher prevalence is seen among older women than older men. Worldwide, at least 44 million people are living with dementia, making the disease a global health crisis that must be addressed.
